So you are about 50 years old and maybe 15 pounds overweight. Then bam! Menopause hits and slaps another 10 pounds on your frame practically overnight! That is what happened to me. I was unhappy, to say the least, at weighing a whopping 160 lb, especially when I’m only 5’4” tall. Late in March 2007, I emailed Jimmie after having seen his Body by Jimmie Fitness Bootcamp commercial on TV. I signed up the next day and have been attending ever since. It was grueling and sometimes demoralizing working out with young women (and some men) half my age, but my efforts paid off. By November of 2007, I had lost 27 pounds and felt great. I benefited not only from the workouts, but also Jimmie’s guidance about diet and portion size. It really helps to keep a food diary and have Jimmie look it over. I’ve maintained my weight loss and am probably in as good a shape as when I was in my 30s. So it’s never too late to get in shape as long as you make the effort.
