Vinyasa Yoga Cooldown
This class is a unique fusion of several styles, integrating principles of both Amrit & Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Referring to what Yogi Amrit Desai describes as “the posture of consciousness,” the Integrative Amrit Method combines elements of physically action-based Hatha Yoga (asana postures), which focus on alignment, with the complementary components of non-action Raja Yoga (mindful- meditation), to produce a synergistic amalgamation. Vinyasa, which is derived from ashtanga yoga, means “breath-synchronized movement.” Centered on this configuration of breath & movement, this type of yoga utilizes a series of rigorous, energizing, & expressive poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. A Vinyasa Amrit flow generates a dynamically fluid dance between shiva-shakti (male-female) energies, as we form harmonized balance within & create a state of “meditation in motion.” Like all styles of yoga, students will experience both mental & physical benefits. Physically, sweat expels toxins & re-energizes your system. Mentally, the synchronized breathing relaxes your mind & helps to release any blockage of energy flow throughout your body.
